“OP Live isn’t just about games. OP Live IS a game.” That’s a phrase that we often liked to use in our marketing for OP Live. We knew in the making of OP Live that we wanted every conceivable aspect of the event to revolve around games. As a result, we gave event-goers the option to watch games, play games in many ways, make games, and learn about all sectors of the gaming industry and eSports as a future profession.
With a partnership between SMU Guildhall, The Trade Group, and eGency Global, we set off in January 2018 to create the most notable gaming and eSports community experience local to North Texas.

RESPONSIBILITIES
OP Live Odyssey
Conceptualized and led quest ideation with the goal of driving participants to experience all aspects of OP Live
Designed quest names, descriptions, explanation and congratulation text, steps to execute quest, and materials needed
Architected the Founder’s quest experience (a 30 minute tour explaining entirety of OP Live, unlocking multiple quests in the process, and providing live DnD style role play game scenarios) for top VIP members at OP Live
Organized above information into documents that were distributed among other coordinators
Reported to lead coordinator for OP Live regularly with Odyssey updates
Facilitated quest execution and handled blockers day of event

Supported volunteer effort, especially surrounding quests
Inspired final quest badge art style
