RESPONSIBILITIES
Being the Host for the SMU Guildhall Extra Life 2018 charity stream was surreal! It involved things like:
Morning announcements and a heart warming interview with Children’s Miracle Network,
but also game related interviews with our partner, Balanced Media Technology, who brings cancer research to gaming. Game interviews didn’t stop there because we also interviewed SMU Guildhall’s Capstone teams like MioMax who proudly brought to us “Circuit Slinger”,
but all in all, it was a joy to share the multiple facets of gaming with our viewers so that everyone could have a grand time while we raised money for cancer research!
Additional Responsibilities
Facilitated planning for games, tournaments, interviews between students and partners
Created lists, polls, and schedules corresponding to the games and interviews that would be shown
Recruited and trained volunteers to help us with the event, and also continue the legacy
Assisted in design/clean-up of marketing art and twitch video overlays
